Man Utd ‘seeking deal’ over Chelsea’s £60m target as Red Devils ‘pull out all stops’ after Ten Hag ‘demand

Manchester United are reportedly ‘pursuing a deal’ with Inter Milan and Argentina star Lautaro Martinez after Erik ten Hag made a transfer request.
It’s been around a month since Martinez was last linked with a move to the Premier League, but that has now changed.
A move to the Premier League for Martinez has been touted throughout his career and during the summer transfer window it was suggested that the £60million striker would ‘love’ a move to Chelsea.
The 26-year-old scored 28 goals and 11 assists in all competitions last season and had a dream start to the season. He has been involved in eight goals in his first six appearances for Inter Milan this season. Chelsea and Man Utd have both struggled in front of goal this season, so it is no surprise that they are already linked with potential signings ahead of the January transfer window.
The Red Devils spent around £64 million to sign Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta this summer but could look to sign a new striker to take the pressure off the inexperienced 20-year-old.
Spanish outlet Fichajes reports that Man Utd are planning to “do everything possible” for Martinez after he was “personally asked” by Ten Hag.
Martinez is under contract until 2026 and Inter must “sell back some of their best players to break even” before a new deal can be completed for the striker.

With their long-term future uncertain, Man Utd are apparently looking to “put a strong enough offer on the table to acquire the services”. A UTD “tries to conclude an agreement with Inter Milan to acquire Martinez”, and if the future transfer offer of the Italian outfit is “rejected”, it could “become” one of the main players in the market in next summer transfer which will be open on July 1 ‘.
Ten Hag quickly praised Hojlund after giving her husband Utd against the rival of the Premier League Arsenal.
“We have already seen Rasmus Hojlund to make his debut at Arsenal and within 30 minutes he had on the field, with the positive effects he had on our game.
“I would like to see this of each player involved in the first team. Whether you play 100 minutes or come in the last seconds, you should always see how the game is developing.
“What we want to achieve requires the whole team throughout the season, so that each player must be completely ready to play his role, both completely and beyond.”
