Manchester City fans have expressed their concerns after hearing what’s been said about Rodri in the Spain camp.

Rodri started his national team’s 3-0 victory over Croatia last Saturday.

But he didn’t last the full 90 minutes as he was replaced in the closing stages of their Group B clash.

And ahead of resuming their Euro 2024 campaign against Italy on Thursday, worrying reports about the Man City star have emerged.

According to Cadena Ser’s correspondent in Germany, Spain’s coaching staff are under stress due to Rodri’s physical condition.

The report states: “The state of anxiety has reached its peak in the Spanish national team, due to Rodri’s physical condition.

“The national team coach’s technical staff are looking for ways to not put physical pressure on Rodri. They want to rely on Rodri without exhausting him physically.”

Naturally, the news about Rodri has concerned Man City fans ahead of the 2024/25 season.

One X user questioned: “How can they rely on him without exhausting him physically.”

A second pleaded: “It’s about time City went and actually signed a player capable of stepping in when Rodri needs a rest.”

A third wrote: “Rodri complained of fatigue during the season for City, now the Spain camp are concern over his energy levels. If ever there was a sign for us to go and find a sufficient back up for him it’s now. Protect him!!”

A fourth said: “Yeah we might have actually ended Rodri. Tixki needs to get a grip and get some support in for him before the season starts.”

Another added: “Makes it absolutely essential City sort him some help. If there is to be one signing it is this area.”

The 27-year-old made a staggering 50 appearances across all competitions last season.

He’s an extremely vital player under Pep Guardiola’s system and is set to be an important player for Luis de la Fuente this summer, too.

But his physical condition could limit his game time in Germany as Spain look to win the Euros.
