Josep Guardiola manager of Manchester City waves the fans after their sides victory during the Premier League match between Fulham FC and Mancheste…
Manchester City have picked up significant amounts of money for the players they’ve sold in recent years.
Looking back over previous summer transfer windows, the Blues have cashed in on players such as Riyad Mahrez, Cole Palmer and Aymeric Laporte among others.
Even though Pep Guardiola’s side have sold a number of players in recent years, they have still managed to be the dominant force in England by winning four Premier League trophies in a row at the end of their previous campaign.
In the middle of another summer transfer period, some players currently in City’s squad have been linked with a move away from the Etihad Stadium.
Now though, some fresh behind-the-scenes details regarding one of those players have come to light.

Journalist says Man City are willing to lower their asking price for Ederson
Journalist Rudy Galetti had this to say in a recent post shared on his official X account about Ederson and City’s current stance on his potential exit amid recent Saudi Arabia transfer links.
He said: “#ManCity are opening up to the idea of reducing the price to let #Ederson go. #AlNassr – who has already agreed personal terms with the GK – is pushing to spend a sum significantly lower than €50m initially requested. Talks with #Allison are still on.”

City shouldn’t lower their price tag for Ederson
Since City paid £35m to sign the Brazilian back in 2017, he has gone on to make 332 appearances for the Blues across all competitions, keeping 155 clean sheets and winning many titles along the way.
The 30-year-old, who Guardiola has hailed previously on the club’s official website for the “incredible” saves he’s made in the past, has verbally agreed to join Al Nassr according to Sports Zone (via X).
Given how important Ederson has proven himself to be for City over the years as their first-choice goalkeeper, as Nedum Onuoha highlighted back in May, not just for the saves he’s made but for his distribution, we feel that the club should not be thinking about lowering their apparent €50 (£42m) asking price for him.
