‘No doubt’ player will join Manchester United – ‘Very constructive’ talks to find agreement
Last Tuesday, Bild reported Manchester United are ready to offer the €50m fee requested by Bayern Munich for Matthijs de Ligt.

Two days later, Sky Deutschland journalist Florian Plettenberg said the defender wants to join the Red Devils immediately.
The 24-year-old has agreed a five-year deal with Manchester United and this is backed up by Fussball News, who then provide the latest on this case.
Manchester United have opened talks with Bayern and this has been ‘harmonious and very constructive’, without yet agreeing a deal for the centre-back’s transfer.

It’s claimed the Premier League side are ready to propose €50m, and need to sort out the details of the deal.
Erik ten Hag’s side and the Bavarian club have to agree on the fixed sum, bonuses and most importantly the payment method [number of years to amortise the deal].
Manchester United wanted to secure the operation for the Netherlands international at the weekend. That didn’t happen, but Fussball News say the ‘delay leaves no one in doubt’ that the deal to take the player to Old Trafford will go through.
The report claims the transfer could be finalised in the ‘coming days’, most likely after the financial details are sorted out between Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
On Sunday, Ten Hag’s side completed the signing of Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna. De Ligt is set to join his compatriot soon in England.
