Fee Lowered – Star ready to secure Man Utd move after drop in £90million valuation

According to Football Insider, Brentford star Ivan Toney is pushing to secure a move to Manchester United after the Bees have lowered his valuation from £90m to £60m.
The 28-year-old English striker was on international duty with the Three Lions at the Euros where his side lost to Spain in the finals.
His most noteworthy display came in the Round of 16 clash against Slovakia, where he was brought in as an injury-time substitute and contributed with the match-winning assist to Harry Kane in extra time. He also converted his penalty in the shootout against Switzerland with his stone-cold technique.

With just one year remaining on his contract, Brentford have realized that they might lose their star striker for free if they do not sell him this summer, thereby reducing his valuation.
Subsequently, Ivan Toney has told his friends that he would love to join Manchester United this summer, should they make an offer.
What Toney brings to the table is unique. He is not the traditional number nine only concerned about scoring goals.
The English striker does much more than just that, dropping deep, linking up play and often acting as a creative force.

Manchester United announced that they have signed Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna, another young striker. Making a move for Toney with two strikers already in the squad doesn’t make sense, especially considering we have other positions on the field that need reinforcements.
The club is still in the primitive stages of a new project and should deploy their financial resources to bring in new centre-backs and a defensive midfielder, rather than signing Toney.
