Internal discussions are continuing at Fulham over whether to go back in with a second bid for Scott McTominay.
Sources have told Sky Sports that Manchester United rejected a bid worth £17m from Fulham earlier in the transfer window.
McTominay was Fulham’s top target to replace Joao Palhinha last summer and the Portugal international has now joined Bayern Munich.

Lille defender Leny Yoro has completed his move to Manchester United in a deal worth nearly £60m.
United will pay just over £52m up front, and £6.5m in add-ons.
It was thought Real Madrid was the Frenchman’s preferred choice, but United worked hard to convince the 18-year-old to join as he was considered a priority signing.

Greenwood joins Marseille
Mason Greenwood has left Manchester United to join French club Marseille on a permanent transfer.
The 22 year-old forward, who spent last season on loan at Getafe in Spain, made 129 appearances and scored 35 goals for United since making his debut in 2019.
A club statement read: “We wish Mason all the best in his future career.”

Branthwaite eyeing up start to Everton’s season
Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite has spoken about how he wants to help the club “get a few wins early on” in the new season.
The Toffees centre-back has been the subject of multiple bids from Manchester United but spoke about his desire to help the club’s sturdy backline impress in the new campaign.
“When you have such a good defensive record, it’s gives you confidence going into the new season,” he told the club’s media team.
“It’s not just defenders who contribute to that, it’s how the manager has set us up to give us the best possible chance to win games.
“It will be the same again this season, hopefully we can get a few wins early on and get momentum going in the new season.”

Lille have accepted United’s bid but all options remain on the table, including Yoro staying at the Ligue 1 side for the final year of his contract.
While United work on a deal for Yoro, dialogue remains open with Bayern Munich over Matthijs de Ligt, although no agreement has been reached between the clubs.
Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite is still an option for United but there is no sign of Everton negotiating on their valuation.
Signing two central defenders is a possibility for United, with Raphael Varane and Willy Kambwala having left the club. Further departures would increase that likelihood.

Marseille are edging closer to a deal to sign Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood.
Personal terms have been agreed in principle and Greenwood has been given permission to undergo a medical.
Marseille and United agreed a deal worth €31.6m (£26.5m) earlier this week.
United also have a significant sell-on clause, thought to be between 40-50 per cent.
The final decision now rests with Greenwood. Lazio also bid for the forward but now appear to be moving onto other targets.

The report claims the centre-back must decide whether to accept the move, with Real Madrid also interested. United are negotiating personal terms with his representatives, it adds.
