Manchester United are getting closer and closer to securing their priority midfield target this summer in the form of Manuel Ugarte.

Multiple reports in the media have indicated that the Uruguayan international will end up joining the Red Devils before the transfer window shuts on August 30.
As per Spanish source, Sport, Luis Enrique does not want Ugarte in his team and he ‘has one foot in Manchester United’.
According to French media outlet, L’Equipe, the 23-year-old play breaker is ready to fly to England to complete his move to Old Trafford and is only waiting for the green light from his representative, Jorge Mendes.
In the UK, as per today’s edition of Manchester Evening News, Ugarte, who has already agreed terms with Man Utd, is close to joining the Red Devils and the negotiations between the parties are at a final stage.
The former Sporting CP midfielder was excluded from the squad in PSG’s opening Ligue 1 fixture, moreover, last night he was once again absent as the French champions shipped six goals past Montpellier.
Hence, all things point towards an exit for Ugarte from the Parc des Princes. Erik ten Hag is set to get his man to wrap up a productive transfer window for Man Utd.
The owners have backed the Dutch manager even after a dismal league campaign last term. It is now up to him to take the club back to the top.
United won their opening game against Fulham and will face Brighton in the early Premier League kick-off today.
