The draws for Carabao Cup release with just three rounds left before the final at Wembley

The draw for the upcoming round has been made, with just three rounds left before the final at Wembley

According to Caughtoffside, the draw for the fourth round of the Carabao Cup occurred on Wednesday night, and all of the Premier League’s so-called ‘big six’ teams are still in contention.

Last week, Manchester United achieved a decisive 7-0 victory against League One side Barnsley, while Tottenham Hotspur rallied from a goal down to secure a 2-1 win at Coventry City.

This week, Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool all progressed, defeating Barrow, Watford, Bolton, and West Ham, respectively.

One match remains, as Newcastle’s clash with Wimbledon has been rescheduled for Tuesday night at St. James’ Park due to flooding at Plough Lane caused by a sinkhole.

The draw for the upcoming round has been made, with just three rounds left before the final at Wembley:

**Carabao Cup Round Four Draw:**

– Brentford vs. Sheffield Wednesday

– Southampton vs. Stoke City

– Tottenham Hotspur vs. Manchester City

– AFC Wimbledon/Newcastle United vs. Chelsea

– Manchester United vs. Leicester City

– Brighton and Hove Albion vs. Liverpool

– Preston North End vs. Arsenal

– Aston Villa vs. Crystal Palace

The goal for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City team is “to win” against Newcastle United and to keep the conversation surrounding Rodri’s injury quiet.

Shortly after proposing that players go on strike due to the demanding schedule of games, the Spaniard—who is widely regarded as the best midfield player in the world—suffered a severe knee injury. Rodri’s injury against Arsenal raised concerns for City that he would miss the remainder of the campaign.

He won’t be able to attend their Saturday trip to St. James’ Park, which has produced a number of classics in the past. The two sides have recently faced off in Tyneside matches, with the latter ending in heartbreaking fashion earlier this year, a 3-3 draw, and a 4-3 loss (see below).

Even though Newcastle struggles at the Etihad, they often give Man City a hard time at home. Nearly a year ago today, Alexander Isak scored the lone goal that eliminated the champions from the Carabao Cup.

In 2019, Rafa Benitez also achieved a historic victory via comeback, as Steve Bruce twice had to fight back to steal a 2-2 draw ten months later. Guardiola has given his team one directive ahead of this weekend’s match because he is aware of how resilient the Magpies are in front of their supporters. This is in spite of the blow to Rodri.

Guardiola remarked, “At this moment, I can’t tell you (how long Rodri will be out for)” following Watford’s defeat in last night’s Carabao Cup. “We’re awaiting the physicians’ final phone calls. What he needs surgery on and what kind of surgery he undergoes.

“I’m really sad for Oscar Bobb and Rodri, but what are we going to do? We are with you, guys, and your medical department is the best. Despite numerous obstacles, we managed to win the Premier League in three months without Erling Haaland and five without Kevin De Bruyne.

“You must take it on. This presents a challenge. It’s pleasant. It occurs every time. It’s a shame, I apologize. Come on, let’s go. Try to win the match by traveling to Newcastle. That’s just the way things are

. As manager, I am able to consider how we may improve.
