Rúben Amorim gives Manchester United a list of players they must sign to kickoff his reign at Old Trafford

A transfer development at Manchester United could have a significant impact on Wolves in the near future.
The Old Gold’s focus at present will be on turning their form around, as Gary O’Neil has a point to prove at Molineux.
Wolves sit 19th in the table with just two points from a possible 27, putting pressure on the manager to ensure his side don’t enter a relegation battle.
Next up for the Midlands club comes a duel with Crystal Palace however, there’s a lot of noise happening around Wolves regarding a subject other than the crucial match.

Man Utd transfer rumours: Ruben Amorim wants to sign former Wolves player
A lot of drama has come from the Premier League this week, as Manchester United made the decision to dismiss Erik ten Hag.
The Red Devils sit 14th in the table and are already in position to hire the Dutchman’s successor, with Sporting CP boss Ruben Amorim identified as a replacement.
The subject of Wolves comes into play as a report from TEAMtalk has outlined three players that Amorim could bring to Old Trafford, including a name well-known at Molineux.
Amorim has found great joy working with former Wolves winger Pedro Goncalves, who was sold for £1m after making only one senior appearance.

The Old Gold sold Goncalves to Famalicao and Sporting picked him up just one year later, where he’s since contributed to an eyewatering 137 goals in 187 appearances.
Premier League clubs have shown interest in Goncalves in the past, with TEAMtalk claiming that Amorim ‘would like to bring’ the ex-Wolves outsider back to England.
Do Wolves have a sell-on clause with Pedro Goncalves?
A possible move for Goncalves back to the Premier League would not only be of interest to Wolves as a reminder of the talent that was discarded.
In 2021, it was confirmed that Wolves have a sell-on clause with Goncalves which is believed to be relevant for the player’s next two moves after leaving the Old Gold.
That means the Midlands club would profit from the next transfer that the winger makes, with a sell-on clause of 20% active.
It could land Wolves a healthy windfall if Amorim attempts to sign the former Wolves outsider at Manchester United, considering that the Sporting star has a release clause of €80m (£67m) in place.
In the instance that Goncalves left Sporting for his release clause, Wolves could land around £13.4m from the player they sold for peanuts in 2019.
