Guardiola admits that failure to win consistently places any manager at a club like City “in trouble” an I want to leave to avoid trouble

According to a report by The Independent, Pep Guardiola has hinted that he may step away from Manchester City if he feels his presence no longer benefits the club.Amid City’s worst run of form under his tenure, including five losses in their last six matches and a dramatic collapse from a three-goal lead against Feyenoord, Guardiola faces mounting pressure to turn the season around.

Despite signing a contract extension recently, the manager has acknowledged the challenges of managing a top club like City, where success is an expectation rather than an aspiration.

Guardiola admitted that a failure to win consistently places any manager at a club like City “in trouble.”

However, he emphasized the importance of accountability, stating, “No complaining, no blaming, no pointing fingers.

The moment I feel I am not positive for the club, another will come.”

This candid admission reflects his self-imposed pressure to meet the high standards that have defined his managerial career.

Guardiola reiterated his desire to rebuild the team, taking on the challenge of addressing its shortcomings and guiding it back to form.

Acknowledging the difficulties posed by injuries, particularly to key players like Rodri, Guardiola stressed that City cannot use setbacks as excuses.

Instead, he views this period as a test of his ability to adapt and find solutions. “It’s easiest when you have 10 or 12 wins in a row and everyone is fit,” he explained.

“Now, I have to prove myself. I have to find a solution and a way to do it, and I am trying every day.”

Guardiola’s focus remains on incremental progress rather than lofty ambitions. He cautioned against unrealistic expectations, urging the team to concentrate on their immediate matches to rebuild momentum.

“In the situation we have, it’s not realistic to think about big targets. The goal is to take it one game at a time and build from there,” he said.

Despite the challenges, Guardiola’s resolve to overcome this difficult period underscores his commitment to City.

However, his remarks suggest a readiness to step aside if he believes he can no longer elevate the club. For now, the focus remains on stabilizing the team and proving that Guardiola’s leadership can weather even the most trying circumstances.
