Manchester United would have been hoping for a better start to life under Ruben Amorim but apart from the first few games, the results have taken a downward turn.
Back-to-back losses against Arsenal and Nottingham Forest might set the cat among pigeons.
However, fans will have to be patient as success is not an overnight thing. Ruben Amorim is taking on a job of rebuilding a squad that hasn’t been successful for the better part of the last decade, at least in the way expected of them.
Most of this will have to do with bringing in the right signings and this means – good investments in the transfer market.
One would have assumed that Dan Ashworth was brought in for that particular reason but the sporting director has been let go just five months into the job.
It remains to be seen who Man Utd go to, trying to solve the recruitment issue and now, as per Caught Offside, the club want to sign talented Borussia Dortmund midfield star Felix Nmecha who has been impressive for the German club.
Along with the Red Devils, Newcastle United are also clear to secure his signing.
Capable of playing both in defensive and attacking midfield, Nmecha is a talented asset to have in the mix. The 24-year-old German has three goals and two assists in 19 appearances across all competitions so far this campaign.
An interesting trivia to note here is the fact that midfielder came through the ranks of Manchester City having progressed through their youth academy.
CO claim that a fee of around £33m-£37m should be sufficient for Man Utd to secure the signature of Felix Nmecha and let’s wait and see how things play out.
