English forward Marcus Rashford is out of Manchester derby according to reports

Bayern Munich and Barcelona are reportedly locked in a battle to sign Manchester United star Marcus Rashford. According to Sportskeeda, the two European giants are interested in acquiring the services of the English forward, who has been struggling to find his form at Old Trafford this season.

Rashford, who has been with Manchester United since he was a youngster, has been a key player for the Red Devils in recent years. However, his performances have been inconsistent this season, and he has found himself on the bench for several matches.

As a result, Manchester United are reportedly considering selling Rashford, with Bayern Munich and Barcelona emerging as two potential suitors. Both clubs are said to be attracted to Rashford’s talent and experience, and are willing to pay a significant transfer fee to secure his services.

Bayern Munich, in particular, are said to be keen on signing Rashford, as they look to strengthen their attacking options. The German giants have been struggling to find consistency in front of goal this season, and Rashford’s arrival could provide a much-needed boost to their attacking lineup.

Barcelona, on the other hand, are said to be interested in signing Rashford as a potential replacement for Robert Lewandowski. The Polish striker has been in impressive form for the Catalans this season, but he is approaching the latter stages of his career, and Barcelona are said to be looking for a long-term replacement.

Manchester United, meanwhile, are said to be willing to let Rashford go for a relatively low transfer fee of £40 million. The Red Devils are reportedly looking to rebuild their squad under new manager Ruben Amorim, and Rashford’s departure could be a part of this process.
Former Manchester United star, Michael Owen, has told Marcus Rashford he needs to improve his mentality under new boss Ruben Amorim.

Rashford is seemingly not among Amorim’s first XI anymore at Manchester United.

The England international did not start Manchester United’s last two Premier League matches against Nottingham Forest and Arsenal.

United will face neighbours and Premier League title holders, Manchester City on Sunday, and speaking about the game, Owen told Metro about Rashford,

“With Marcus, it doesn’t seem to me like it’s an ability thing. It’s more of a mental thing.

We’ve all seen how good he is many times so I don’t think that anybody has any doubts about his ability but, mentally, I think he needs to become a bit better.

Maybe this regime will drag him along. Maybe he’s one of the players that you think, ‘ no, everybody else is doing well, he might not be, and it might take time’.

“You’ve just got to hope that the new format, the new regime gets the best out of him.”
