Liverpool transfer news, rumours, gossip and speculation including the latest on Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia, Aurelien Tchouameni and more
Liverpool suffered a double whammy in the transfer market on Monday. First by reports of Romeo Lavia’s desire to join Chelsea and later by the London club’s announcement of the signing of Moies Caicedo.
The two-goal midfield snubs pose major problems for the Reds in the final weeks of the transfer window and an answer seems far-fetched.
Tyler Adams, one of the few defensive midfielders available in the Premier League, could be targeted but could just as easily feature away at Anfield on Saturday as Bournemouth met their £20m release clause.

This was reported by The Times, which reports that Lavia’s representatives have informed Liverpool that their client wants to move to Chelsea. The Reds had offers of £38m and £41m for Lavia rejected by Southampton for the midfielder.
It is also argued that the personal terms Chelsea are willing to pay Lavia are higher than what Liverpool had planned. The report also said Liverpool are hastily re-evaluating their midfield options. Salah ‘contacted by Al-Ittihad’
Saudi outfit Al-Ittihad have reportedly contacted Mohamed Salah and Liverpool about a possible transfer.
This according to journalist Rudy Galetti, who reports that Salah will let Liverpool decide, as he doesn’t mind the idea but respects the Anfield club’s decision.
Earlier this month, Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas emphatically said the Egyptian would make a mouth-watering move to the Saudi Pro League this summer.

Romeo Lavia transfer decision
The club’s pursuit of Romeo Lavia has been following for weeks and appears to be coming to an end, albeit not as expected.
With the lure of an improved contract, the 19-year-old is likely to become a Chelsea player this week. It was word from Athletic, although earlier today there were indications that Liverpool had beaten the Londoners in with a £60million offer.
