Texas football continues to strengthen its recruiting and scouting operations with the addition of Errin Joe, who joins the Longhorns as the new Director of Scouting.

Joe, who previously served as Georgia Tech’s Director of Player Personnel, brings valuable experience in talent evaluation and roster management. His arrival signals another step forward for Texas in its pursuit of top-tier talent under head coach Steve Sarkisian.

During his time at Georgia Tech, Joe played a key role in identifying and acquiring talent to help the Yellow Jackets compete at a high level. His background as a former offensive lineman at Georgia Tech (2012-2015) gives him a unique perspective in evaluating players, understanding team needs, and fostering relationships with recruits.

At Texas, Joe will be instrumental in scouting high school prospects, transfer portal targets, and future Longhorns. With college football’s ever-changing recruiting landscape, having a strong scouting department is crucial. His ability to assess talent, develop recruiting strategies, and work closely with Texas’ coaching staff will be essential as the Longhorns transition into the SEC in 2024.

Texas has been aggressive in assembling an elite recruiting staff, and Joe’s addition further solidifies the Longhorns’ commitment to building a championship-caliber program. With back-to-back top recruiting classes and a College Football Playoff appearance in 2023, Texas is positioning itself as a powerhouse in the new SEC era.

With Joe’s expertise and a strong foundation already in place, the Longhorns are poised to continue competing at the highest level. His arrival adds another layer of strength to a program that is fully committed to bringing championships back to Austin.
