GOOD NEWS: LSU Women’s Basketball Heads to Bossier City Undefeated Thanks to Mikaylah Williams’ Stellar Performance.

LSU women’s basketball remains undefeated as they prepare to head to Bossier City, and it’s thanks in large part to standout sophomore Mikaylah Williams. The former Parkway High School star put on a dazzling display in LSU’s statement win over No. 5 Stanford, scoring a career-high 27 points while adding 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Her performance solidified her growing reputation as one of the nation’s most complete guards and gave local fans a reason to celebrate.

Williams, who was named the SEC Freshman of the Year last season, looked comfortable on the big stage, knocking down clutch shots and leading LSU’s offense with poise. Her ability to defend and create plays on both ends of the court was crucial in LSU’s 82-74 victory over the Cardinal, a win that pushed the Tigers to 12-0 on the season.

For fans in Bossier City, the return of Mikaylah Williams is especially meaningful. A local legend who led Parkway High to a state championship and was a McDonald’s All-American, Williams continues to represent her hometown with pride and excellence. She’ll be back on familiar turf when LSU plays its next non-conference matchup at the Brookshire Grocery Arena, bringing her undefeated Tigers squad with her.

LSU head coach Kim Mulkey praised Williams after the game, saying, “She’s growing into a leader on and off the floor. When Mikaylah’s playing like that, we’re hard to beat.”

With Williams at the helm, LSU is not only winning but dominating—and her homecoming in Bossier City is shaping up to be a celebration of both past and present success. Local fans will have a front-row seat to witness one of their own shine on the national stage.
