Standing at 6-foot-7 and weighing 231 pounds, the Columbia native has shown remarkable growth since his freshman year, where he averaged 10.4 points and a team-high 5.7 rebounds per game, earning SEC All-Freshman honors .

 

This season, Murray-Boyles has elevated his game, leading the Gamecocks in scoring, rebounding, steals, and blocks, with averages of 16.2 points, 9.3 rebounds, 1.4 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game . His performance has not gone unnoticed, as he’s garnered attention from NBA scouts and is considered a potential first-round pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.

 

Despite the allure of the NBA and opportunities from other top programs, Murray-Boyles has expressed unwavering commitment to South Carolina. He stated, “I wouldn’t trade this opportunity for the world. For any amount of money, I wouldn’t leave the school,” highlighting his dedication to the program and belief in the coaching staff’s system .
