As a player, she was a force—earning Naismith College Player of the Year honors, leading Virginia to three Final Fours, and becoming a six-time WNBA All-Star. She also brought home three Olympic gold medals, solidifying her place among the sport’s elite.
But it’s what she’s done on the sidelines that’s truly cemented her legacy. As head coach of the South Carolina Gamecocks, Staley has built a powerhouse. With three national championships (2017, 2022, and 2024), seven Final Four appearances, and four Naismith Coach of the Year awards, she’s not just winning—she’s rewriting the record books.
