Jack Grealish has struggled to find his best form this season and the Manchester City winger could be on the move this summer.

The 29-year-old has featured in the league just 19 times during the 2024/25 campaign, scoring only one goal.

Pep Guardiola is set to rebuild his Man City squad this summer after a disappointing title defence saw them relinquish their Premier League crown to Arne Slot’s Liverpool.

Man City also fell short in the Champions League as they were dumped out in the last 32 of the competition by Real Madrid.

The Citizens have one final chance to claim some silverware this season as they face Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final but Grealish’s future beyond the end of the campaign is unclear.

Jack Grealish has struggled in the Premier League since his move from Aston Villa

A report in the Sun (7 May) has revealed that Grealish is open to accepting a move away from City in the hope of kickstarting his career.

Napoli boss Antonio Conte is apparently a big fan of the forward and Grealish could follow the likes of Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour to the Serie A leaders.

There are a number of other clubs in for the Englishman, however, with the Sun adding that Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan could be potential destinations for the former Villa man.

Grealish can thrive away from Guardiola

Football Insider Verdict

Guardiola is an outstanding manager and his honours speak for themselves, but Grealish does not suit the Spaniard’s system and could be far more influential away from the Manchester club.

The winger thrives when he is the main man, like he was at Villa, and is encouraged to drive at defenders with his exceptional dribbling ability.

Grealish was left at home during England’s Euro 2024 campaign last year and was omitted from Thomas Tuchel’s first squad in March, currently sitting below the likes of Anthony Gordon and Marcus Rashford in the pecking order.

If he wants to force himself back into contention for the national team then he must move to a club where he can showcase his talents.

Both McTominay and Gilmour have benefited from moves to Napoli and that may inspire Grealish to follow in their footsteps in the hope that he can get back to his very best.

Manchester City fans have reason to celebrate as star striker Erling Haaland is back in action after recovering from injury, just in time for the crucial final stretch of the season. Manager Pep Guardiola confirmed the Norwegian’s fitness ahead of their upcoming Champions League clash, boosting City’s hopes of securing another European triumph.

Haaland, who has been sidelined for weeks, is a key figure in City’s attack, having already netted 28 goals this season. His return comes at a perfect moment as the Premier League champions push for a historic double—defending their Champions League title while maintaining pressure in the domestic league.

Guardiola, speaking at a pre-match press conference, expressed relief at Haaland’s recovery, stating, *”Erling is ready. He’s trained well, and we need him at his best for the challenges ahead.”* The Spanish tactician also emphasized the importance of securing a top-four finish to ensure Champions League football next season, though City remain strong contenders for the trophy this year.

Nigerian fans, many of whom support City due to their exciting style and global superstars, will be eager to see Haaland back on the pitch. His partnership with playmakers like Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden could be decisive in the coming weeks.

With the Champions League semifinals approaching, all eyes will be on Haaland to deliver his trademark explosive performances. Can he fire City to another European triumph? The football world is watching.
