Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant hosted his inaugural youth basketball camp, the Ja Morant ProCamp, on June 22, 2024, at the Memphis Sports and Events Center.

The event attracted over 600 young athletes from across the Mid-South, offering them a unique opportunity to learn from one of the NBA’s brightest talents.

Open to boys and girls from first through eighth grade, the camp featured a comprehensive program including fundamental skills stations, non-contact games, and contests. Morant, alongside top high school and college coaches, provided hands-on instruction, emphasizing teamwork, focus, and self-belief. Each participant received a limited-edition camp T-shirt, a team photo with Morant, and a souvenir autograph, making the experience memorable for all involved.

The camp was more than just basketball; it was a testament to Morant’s commitment to community engagement. “I try to do whatever I can… anything I can do to help them I will do,” Morant stated, reflecting on his desire to give back to the youth. His efforts were recognized by Memphis Mayor Paul Young, who praised the camp’s impact on the city and its youth.

This ProCamp is part of Morant’s broader initiative to support youth development. In addition to the camp, he has launched the Twelve Time AAU program for sixth and seventh-grade boys and girls, further demonstrating his dedication to nurturing young talent.

Morant’s inaugural youth basketball camp not only provided valuable skills training but also served as an inspiration for the next generation of athletes, reinforcing his role as a positive influence both on and off the court.
