Are more Muslims in Liverpool praying at mosques thanks to Mohamed Salah?

More Muslims in Liverpool are attending mosques thanks to star footballer Mohamed Salah, according to local officials speaking in a UK Channel 4 documentary on Tuesday.
“More and more young people are visiting mosques and attending Friday prayers just from the fact that Mo Salah is here,” said Dr Abdul Hamid, a trustee at the sheikh Abdullah Quilliam Mosque located at the heart of Liverpool.

The former Roma forward has had an outstanding season since he returned to England to play for The Reds, scoring 44 goals in all competitions this campaign.
He will be at the forefront for Liverpool when they face title favorites Real Madrid in the Champions League final on Saturday.
Because of his enormous success on and off the pitch, he is believed to have massively improved the image of Islam in the country and has become a role model for young Muslims.
