In the Europa League, these players did not perform as anticipated.
HBAgency
Liverpool’s match against Toulouse on matchday 4 of the Europa League group stage was incredibly instructive as they lost 3–2. Despite much dispute surrounding a goal that was disallowed, the game was played in France. The Reds did not perform well in the game and committed numerous errors in the final play of the contest.
Due to Virgil van Dijk’s (unknown) health issue, German coach Jürgen Klopp made multiple changes to the starting lineup and sent numerous players who had not played much in the Premier League, including defender Jarrel Quansah.
I could go back out into the fields. Luis Díaz, a Colombian, also made a reappearance following his father’s release. What a wonderful legacy Wataru Endo, a Japanese football player, left behind. He played a very complex game, receiving a caution in the first half and then committing multiple fouls that could result in his dismissal. This forced German coach Jürgen Klopp to make a change at halftime in order to prevent someone from being sent off in the second half.
Endo and Tsimikas
The other player who had a forgettable game was the Greek Kostas Tsimikas, who was pulled by German coach Jürgen Klopp at halftime after making a severe error that led to the French goal. The Greek is called up to take Andy Robertson’s place in the Scottish starting lineup, but the team has explored other options as well. Joe Gómez, for example, is playing left defense even though it is not his natural position. Endo and Tsimikas might have less opportunity to play for the first team.
