Jack Grealish seems to be frustrated with life at Manchester City after starting a mere 16 games in all competitions last season.

Grealish is open to leaving Manchester City this summer and Pep Guardiola’s men are believed to be happy to offload him as well.

As talkSPORT pundit Gabby Agbonlahor accused Guardiola of having a “personal” issue with the 29-year-old after he brought debutant Claudio Echeverri off the bench in the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace, the player replied on Instagram: “What do you want me to do, score a hatty [hat-trick] in 20 [minutes]?”

When a fan commented: “Dude, Jack has been bad lately and I’m not surprised Pep did that”, the City winger bit back, writing: “Haha, I’ve been bad lately? Scored three goals in my last three appearances over 45 mins but okie dokie love.”

Pep Guardiola asked Manchester City to sign Grealish but things have gone awry for him since he won the treble in 2023, with the fans now split about his latest antics.

Man City fans divided as Jack Grealish bites back at fan on Instagram

Some Manchester City fans did not agree with Grealish’s response whatsoever, with one supporter pointing out that he did not score a single goal last year: “You didn’t score a goal in a year, man.”

Another fan claimed that the England international lacks self-awareness, having been on the periphery of things for months and yet defending his own form: “Guy has no self-awareness, literally played almost zero minutes since December and he’s still saying all of this.”

A third Manchester City fan was disappointed with Grealish because he felt the three-time Premier League was endorsing Gabby Agbonlahor’s criticism of Pep Guardiola: “This isn’t a good look. I get his frustration, but don’t lose your head in public like this. He’s endorsing Agbonlahor’s criticism of Pep too.”

However, some other supporters backed the former Aston Villa wideman, with one fan stating: “Fair play to him for standing up for himself, had a rough time this season especially but a proper genuine and nice human being as well as being an elite footballer when fully-fit and playing.”

A fifth supporter agreed with the aforementioned notion, backing Grealish as well: “I mean, he’s right. He’s played well in the middle every time but doesn’t see the pitch again.”

A sixth Manchester City fan also stated that Grealish has a right to have a pop due to the stick he tends to get despite having other strengths apart from scoring and assisting goals: “He has every right to be upset the media is constantly on his back no matter what, has been played largely outside his strengths when he has got minutes and isn’t even credited for how important he was to us when he was given consistent minutes.”

All in all, the fanbase have been left split about the decorated winger, who continues to divide opinion amongst fans and pundits alike.

What Man City are willing to do to help Grealish find his next club

While Manchester City are happy to sell Grealish, it has been revealed that there are no hard feelings from the club’s side about the player.

So much so that City are willing to let the Champions League winner spent a majority of the summer to look for a new club.

While things between Manchester City and Grealish may be ending on a sour note, the fans will be satisfied that Pep Guardiola and Co are open to lending him a helping hand this summer.
