🚨 BREAKING: Arsenal Preparing Improved Bid for Viktor Gyökeres 🔴⚪.

Arsenal are set to make a renewed push to sign Viktor Gyökeres from Sporting CP, as the club prepares a second offer that could reach Sporting’s valuation of around €80 million. The Gunners remain determined to land the prolific Swedish striker after seeing their initial bid rejected earlier this month.

Sources close to the negotiations reveal that Arsenal’s hierarchy, led by sporting director Edu and manager Mikel Arteta, are convinced that Gyökeres is the ideal forward to bolster their attack ahead of the 2025/26 season. With doubts over Gabriel Jesus’ long-term fitness and Eddie Nketiah’s future uncertain, Gyökeres is seen as the perfect fit for Arteta’s system — combining physicality, pressing intensity, and lethal finishing.

The 26-year-old had a standout campaign with Sporting last season, scoring 29 goals and providing 10 assists across all competitions. His release clause stands at €100 million, but Arsenal believe a package worth around €80 million — including bonuses — could tempt the Portuguese side to sell.

Gyökeres is reportedly open to the move and has been following Arsenal’s progress closely. The striker is said to be excited by the opportunity to play in the Premier League and compete in the Champions League with one of Europe’s rising forces.

Arteta views Gyökeres as the missing piece to elevate Arsenal’s title ambitions and help the Gunners go deep in Europe next season. Talks between the clubs are expected to continue in the coming days as Arsenal push to finalize the deal swiftly, ideally before their pre-season tour kicks off in mid-July.

Fans are bracing for what could be the club’s marquee signing of

the summer.
