Mateo Kovacic expresses transfer regrets as he talks about life under Pep Guardiola

Mateo Kovacic says he would have liked to join Pep Guardiola’s title-winning side Manchester City earlier in his career. Midfielder Kovacic joined City from Chelsea for £25million this summer after previous spells at Dinamo Zagreb, Inter Milan and Real Madrid. The experienced 29-year-old has played more than 500 games in his career but said he believes he will start again and learn in new ways under Guardiola. Kovacic admitted his only regret was not joining Guardiola early in his career so he could spend more time under the man widely regarded as the best coach in the world.
