Trent Alexander-Arnold joins Lionel Messi and Jude Bellingham as Liverpool ace pens lucrative deal

Liverpool vice-captain Trent Alexander-Arnold has joined Jude Bellingham and Lionel Messi by signing a lucrative new contract. He offered a hint against Man City.

Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has made a significant move by signing a lucrative contract with sportswear giant Adidas. The 25-year-old, who recently scored the equalizer in Liverpool’s 1-1 draw against Manchester City, hinted at the switch from Under Armour during the match when he wore a pair of unreleased Adidas predators.

In a promotional video, Alexander-Arnold reminisced about his football journey, mentioning how his passion for the game was ignited in 2005 and how the boots he wore played a crucial role. He expressed his pride in being a Liverpool native and growing up near his football heroes. The defender talked about the hard work he put in on the training pitch and how it paid off, particularly with their Champions League victory in Madrid. Throughout his career, those boots never left his bag, symbolizing his unwavering dedication.

This move to Adidas marks the end of Alexander-Arnold’s six-year association with Under Armour. Joining Adidas puts him in the company of other high-profile athletes sponsored by the brand, including England teammate Jude Bellingham and Lionel Messi. Alongside Real Madrid’s Bellingham and Barcelona’s Pedri, Alexander-Arnold will be one of the faces of Adidas’ soccer range and according to The Athletic, the multi-year boot deal with Adidas makes him one of the highest-paid players in Europe.

The Liverpool right-back has also garnered attention on social media for showcasing the new twist on old Adidas Predator classics during the match against Manchester City. Reflecting on the game, Alexander-Arnold acknowledged that it was an important result for the team and would boost their belief in facing top-level opponents. Despite not playing their best in the first half, Liverpool regrouped at half-time and came out with a stronger game plan.

Playing against Manchester City is always challenging due to the respect they command, but Alexander-Arnold emphasized that Liverpool put that respect aside in the second half and focused on getting a positive result. The draw against the reigning Premier League champions demonstrated that Liverpool is moving in the right direction.

By  signing this lucrative contract with Adidas, Alexander-Arnold has not only secured a significant financial deal but has also aligned himself with a brand that has a rich history in football. This move further solidifies his status as one of the top players in Europe and underlines his commitment to achieving success both on and off the pitch.
