According to a report by The Sun , Miguel Gutierrez is the subject of interest from Manchester United. The Red Devils are prioritising signing a left-back in the January transfer window. So, the Girona full-back, valued at around £22 million, has emerged as a target. But Real Madrid can play spoilsport in the race to sign the Spanish full-back.

Arsenal considering move for Jorrel Hato

Arsenal are actively considering a move to sign Ajax’s promising defender, Jorrel Hato. The Telegraph reports that the Gunners are keen on strengthening their defensive options for the long-term, identifying the 17-year-old Dutch talent as a valuable addition. Hato has consistently performed in Ajax’s defence, showcasing versatility that has captured the attention of Arsenal.

According to various reports, Manchester United is poised to pursue the signing of Michael Olise from Crystal Palace later this year, marking the first acquisition of the Jim Ratcliffe era at Old Trafford. This transfer, initially considered for the Winter window, has been deferred to the Summer transfer window.

Having loaned out Donny Van de Beek and potentially Jadon Sancho to the Bundesliga, with the English club covering a portion of their salaries, Manchester United’s sporting director Dan Ashworth and head of recruitment Paul Mitchell plan to negotiate Olise’s release clause with Crystal Palace. The clause rose from €35m to just over €50m after the 22-year-old signed a four-year contract extension with the Eagles last year.

Michael Olise is seen as a direct upgrade in the right-wing position compared to Antony dos Santos, boasting Premier League experience and superior stats. If the deal goes through, Olise could bring three key elements to Manchester United:

1. Enhanced attacking prowess on the right wing, surpassing Antony and Amad Diallo. With Jadon Sancho potentially leaving on loan, Manchester United currently relies on Antony and Diallo, both lacking the required attacking flair for Erik ten Hag’s team. Olise’s statistics, with 5 goals and an assist in 9 Premier League appearances this season, outshine Antony’s zero goals and assists in 16 league games.

2. Crucial squad depth in the attacking department for Erik ten Hag. The club is grappling with numerous injuries to first-team players, making Olise, Antony Santos, and Amad Diallo advantageous assets, regardless of the latter two’s effectiveness.

3. Healthy competition on the right wing for Antony dos Santos and occasionally Alejandro Garnacho. When Marcus Rashford returns to form, Garnacho might relinquish the left wing spot, creating competition on the right wing between Antony and Olise. This competition could bring out the best in players and elevate their performance.

In conclusion, the signing of Michael Olise would significantly upgrade Manchester United’s attacking options. The Red Devils should aggressively pursue his acquisition to avoid losing him to another Premier League club.
