Jamie Carragher has poked fun at Manchester United goalkeeper, Andre Onana, whilst winding up Gary Neville on social media.

United backed Erik ten Hag with his choice of goalkeeper over the summer, following David De Gea’s departure.

Ten Hag picked Andre Onana, having previously worked together in the Netherlands with Ajax.

Onana’s ability on the ball has been touted as a major benefit over De Gea, but there are some concerns with how many goals United have conceded.

In just five Premier League games this season, United have already conceded 10 goals.

Only two clubs – Wolverhampton Wanderers and Burnley – have conceded more so far this term.

That’s a major concern and the way United have given up easy goals at home against Nottingham Forest and now Brighton was worrying.

Onana isn’t to blame for all of this, and the situation ahead of him isn’t ideal.

Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia and Raphael Varane are all out injured whilst ending the Arsenal defeat with Jonny Evans and Harry Maguire at the back was never going to be easy.

Onana isn’t the problem but Ten Hag will be looking at some tweaks to get more out of the Cameroonian stopper.

Carragher told The Telegraph that Onana’s public criticism of Harry Maguire in pre-season was ‘disgracefully playing to the gallery to endear himself to United fans’.

Carragher was back at it again on Saturday evening, taking to Twitter as he poked fun at fellow Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville.

The ex-England defender told Neville that he needs to advise Onana to stop waving his hands at United teammates and use them to actually make some saves.
