Transfer News; Manchester City have confirmed the signing of new highly- rated attacking midfielder
Now that the January transfer window remains open, Manchester City football club are taking advantage of that to sign some players who will further strengthen their current squad.
The Premier League giants made some signings during the summer transfer window as they confirmed the arrivals of Jeremy Doku, Josko Gvardiol, Mateo Kovacic and Matheus Nunes.
Despite these signings last year, Manchester City football club are not resting on their laurels just yet as they keep making moves for new players to improve their first-team squad.
And now, Manchester City football club have already confirmed the signing of River Plate highly-rated attacking midfielder Claudio Echeverri in this January transfer window.
The 18-year-old Argentina International, who gained promotion to the River Plate first-team squad back in 2023 has proven to be one of the best young talents in the league.
The highly-rated Claudio Echeverri captained Argentina U-17 squad as they made it to the semi-finals of the FIFA U-17 World Cup back in November and December 2023.
Claudio Echeverri was very influential for the Argentina U-17 squad as he scored a hat-trick in Argentina’s 3-0 victory over Brazil U-17 during the competition last year.
His excellent performances has caught the attention of Manchester City football club and according to reports from the club official page on Twitter, the Premier League side have signed him for £12.5million.
The reports further claimed that Claudio Echeverri has signed a four-and-half year deal at Manchester City and he is expected to return to River Plate on loan until January 2025.
It is believed that Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is a big fan of his potential and he would be delighted that Manchester City have new secured the signing of Claudio Echeverri for the future.
That said, Claudio Echeverri is now expected to return to River Plate on loan till January 2025 in order to further develop before moving to Manchester City football club.
