Arsenal next four games compared to Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham

The first North London Derby of the season arrives towards the end of September. Arsenal have not lost against their bitter rivals on their own patch in the Premier League in over a decade, but new manager Ange Postecoglou is expected to bring an entirely different team to Emirates Stadium.

Bournemouth (A) – Saturday, September 30

Arsenal close out the month of September by facing Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium. The Cherries are another team reshaping their identity after parting ways with Gary O’Neill for Andoni Iraola which will certainly mean a tough encounter is on the horizon.

Manchester City (H) – Sunday, October 8

A huge clash to start October awaits for the Gunners. The two title rivals from last season face each other for the first time since the FA Community Shield.Arsenal return to Champions League action this week on a high after beating Everton 1-0 at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon. The Gunners face a difficult run of fixtures with the North London Derby against Tottenham Hotspur up next in the Premier League.

Leandro Trossard scored the decisive goal for Arsenal against the Toffees – coming off the bench after replacing the injured Gabriel Martinelli in the first half. Mikel Arteta was delighted with the result but is fully aware of the tough run ahead.

Thomas Partey and Martinelli are expected to be sidelined for the foreseeable future which will see Arteta need to rely on the depth of his squad with Champions League action starting this week. Chelsea (A) – Saturday, October 21

Arsenal then travel to Stamford Bridge to battle against London rivals Chelsea, who they did the double over last season, winning 1-0 away and 3-1 at home.

But the Blues have strengthened heavily since then, adding the likes of Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo to their midfield ranks whilst Mauricio Pochettino is now in the managerial hot seat.

Sheffield United (H) – Saturday, October 28

After a couple of tricky fixtures against City and Chelsea – the Gunners take on Premier League new boys Sheffield United to end October. Arsenal are unbeaten in their last four meetings with the Blades.

The Gunners picked up a 3-0 win against United in their last meeting, whilst they had a 2-1 victory against the Blades in their last clash at the Emirates Stadium back in 2020.
