EPL Top Scorer’s log after Halaand and saka Scored on Day 24

The English Premier League Golden Boot race is still competitive with Man City’s star Erling Haaland, doing what he knows well after a long time of having to watch behind the touch line. On day 24, he returned to scoring ways.

Haaland’s brace against Everton shoot his goals tally to 16 after missing out of his goal scoring form in almost 419 minutes in the premier league. Haaland’s 71st and 85th minute strikes confirmed his 15th and 16th goal of the season. The Norwegian remains favorite to get his hands on another Golden Boot after playing just 18 games. The striker was initially away after a long injury holiday but returned with loads of responsibilities on his head just as Kevin de Bruyne who is also one of his inspiration. He is surely the major contender as the season progresses.

Egypt’s Mohamed Salah was previously in same goals tally with Haaland on 14 goals but Salah had played 20 games, 2 more than Haaland before his AFCON experience which ended on a huge injury. He is just 2 goals behind Haaland and things could get worse for him based on his inability to return to action because of his injury state. He remains a major contender too but will have to work hard to give Haaland the chase required to contend for the individual award.

Players like Saka and Richarlison of Tottenham hotspur are also in the race after scoring 10 goals each so far. Saka was on fire for Arsenal against West Ham on Sunday with 2 Brillo goals in Arsenal’s 0-6 humiliation of the visitors but currently trail Haaland by 6 whopping goals. Nevertheless, nothing is impossible since he has less fear of injury.

As the season progresses who do you think will win the prestigious award? Share your thoughts
