The top 25 most valuable players in the Premier League have been ranked and two are worth over £100m.
It’s no secret that the Premier League eclipses every other league in terms of money spent on transfers. The summer transfer window in 2023 saw saw clubs spend a record £2.36 billion, according to Deloitte.
The biggest clubs in the league often compete for the best players in the world and the revenue generated through broadcast and sponsorship deals allows them to do that.
So it also won’t come as a surprise that some of the worlds most valuable players also play in England’s top division.

In a recent list the top 25 based on valuations from TransferMarkt have been ranked and some additions may come as a shock.
Manchester City striker Erling Haaland is listed as the Premier League’s most valuable player worth around £154 million as listed by Newcastle World.
Given he finished second in the Ballon d’Or rankings last year it’s no surprise that he tops the list.

In second is Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka who is valued at £102.6 million. Given his age and how crucial he has been to the Gunners recently and the fact he’s tied down until 2027 it’s not a surprise.
Another Arsenal player Declan Rice is joint third on the list with a valuation of £94m, £11m less than what they paid for him last summer.
Two City players round out the top five with Rodri and Phil Foden also valued at £94m.
Other notable placements include Chelsea’s Moises Caicedo who is valued at £77m and Newcastle’s Bruno Guimaraes who is estimated to be worth £72.6m.

Perhaps the most surprising omission is Liverpool’s Mohamad Salah who doesn’t even make the list with a valuation of £55.5m according to Transfermarkt.
Whilst he is the wrong side of 30, Salah still remains one of the best players in the world and it’s highly likely the Reds would turn down most offers for him.
Another notable absence is Kevin De Bruyne who is apparently only worth £51 million.
Whilst it’s true transfer fees tend to be inflated, the talent these both possess make them almost untouchable at their respective clubs.
Where Saka stands in Golden Shoe
ranking after Burnley brace — Haaland beware
Bukayo Saka can’t stop scoring and has been one of Arsenal’s best players in the battering of Burnley.
The Englishman scored a brace within the first 60 minutes to help his side soar to a 3-0 lead.
Saka scored a smart penalty for his first before adding another in the second half, taking Martin Odegaard’s pass well before smashing the ball into the back of the net.
The Arsenal winger is now currently on 12 Premier League goals for this season, and is closing in on the Golden Boot race.
Man City striker Erling Haaland is currently topping the Golden Boot race with 16 goals so far. The major difference is that he’s a centre-forward who gets fed a lot of chances, while Bukayo often has to create his own strikes.
Saka, although, isn’t that far away in the Premier League Golden Boot race and needs to maintain his goal-scoring heroics to close in on Haaland.
