Marcus Rashford sends a message to Manchester United fans

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is enjoying playing a part in the team’s return to form.

Manchester United are on a winning run right now, and while it is not always pretty, you can’t argue with the results.

The gap on fourth place has been cut down to just five points, with Erik ten Hag‘s side closing in on a Champions League spot.

A settled attack has been a part of this, with United’s front three of Marcus Rashford, Rasmus Hojlund and Alejandro Garnacho looking threatening and well balanced.

Marcus Rashford sends message

Marcus Rashford is still yet to find his scoring boots this season, struggling to replicate his 30-goal campaign of 2022/23.

This season he has scored five goals, and after recently netting in the 4-3 win at Wolves, he has failed to score in any of his last three.

Rashford is not letting this dampen his enthusiasm for the team’s recent return to winning ways.

He wrote on Instagram: “We’re hitting form at the right time! See you all at Old Trafford next week.”

Manchester United finding momentum

Marcus Rashford is spot on that Manchester United are finding form at just the right time, entering the business end of the season.

Aston Villa and Tottenham are United’s rivals for a Champions League spot and they are both looking nervously over their shoulders at Ten Hag’s side charging back up the table.

There is a lot of work to do, but you would surely rather be in United’s position, a team full of confidence, togetherness, and stacked with talent.

If Rashford could find the form he had last season, that will make United even more dangerous, and could end up making the difference.

Gary Neville gave credit where it was due to Manchester United for yesterday’s win, but admitted that it should’ve come a lot easier than it did.

The Reds were in dreamland after Rasmus Hojlund opened the scoring within 40 seconds at Kenilworth Road, making history as he did so by becoming the youngest-ever player to score in six consecutive Premier League matches.

Fast-forward just six minutes later, and the Dane added to his tally again when he cleverly adjusted his body to send Alejandro Garnacho’s wayward shot on target and into the back of the net.

It was at that point United’s dominance subsided, and Luton Town kickstarted the same problems they’ve caused so many other top-six teams this season. End-to-end play saw the Hatters eventually claim one back through Carlton Morris, who donned the armband in Tom Lockyer’s absence, and they had several other chances go astray or saved by Andre Onana across the 90-minute thriller.

Neville’s verdict on gritty Luton clash

Reacting to the night’s affairs post-match, Neville analysed (via the Express): “I think United deserved to win. I think the second-half performance was probably better and more measured than the first half. The first 10 minutes were fantastic but I thought for 30 minutes, Luton could’ve scored two or three goals themselves. In the second half Luton’s last part of the game in the final third let them down.”

“But I thought United defended pretty well,” the former captain continued. “[Jonny] Evans and [Raphael] Varane positioned themselves well on those crosses. Obviously, the four one-on-ones – [Alejandro] Garnacho had one, Hojlund had one and I think Bruno Fernandes had two big chances. Between those four, they should have taken at least one of them. I thought they were professional in the second half, a lot better, more measured.

“First half they lost their discipline. [Harry] Maguire and Casemiro had to be hooked at half time, they were all over the place at times. You think, how can they go from here (high up) to there (low down) within halves of games?”

I had said it ealier that this manchester united team you are taking it lightly will come to show it’s true colour and probably qualify for the uefa champions league. It’s won’t be a wonder neither to see them at the top four with all thier feets and comfortably sitted there. As a fan of rivalry team I can say that manchester united can’t be taken for granted again. Manchester united I can predict now here that they will finish top four this season with more than fifty points.

Late sunday hours a big game between Luton and manchester united away game but to the shock of many at seven minutes it was already 2-0. However my attention was not even to how many they scored and how or which minutes. My concern was the guy who scored the first two fails by the name hallond. This player will soon be the best striker in the world.
