“You cannot be serious here” – Matheus Nunes provides dressing room insight into Man City Life

Manchester City midfielder Matheus Nunes has shared his experience of being a player in Pep Guardiola’s dressing room.

Nunes, who joined Manchester City from Wolverhampton Wanderers, has quickly adapted to Guardiola’s style of play and has made a positive impact on the team.

Despite only being halfway through his first season at Manchester City, Nunes has already provided a different dimension to the team’s midfield.

The 25-year-old Portugal international has embraced life at the Etihad Stadium, finding it to be the highest level of football he has experienced in his career.

In an exclusive interview with Sky Sports, Nunes revealed the light-hearted and joking nature of the dressing room at Manchester City.

“In this team, you cannot be serious here,” Nunes said. “If you’re a little bit shy… I mean, you start to joke around all the teammates. This is the best environment I’ve been in.”

He continued, “Even when you have sad days or when you’re a little bit frustrated, you can’t be for too long because they’re just joking around all the time and it’s actually the best to have around yourself, to surround yourself with these kind of people is the best.”

Despite not scoring a goal for Manchester City yet, Nunes has contributed with five assists in his 22 appearances across all competitions.

As the season enters a busy period with a congested schedule, Nunes can expect to be called upon more frequently by manager Pep Guardiola as the team competes across different competitions.

Overall, Matheus Nunes has seamlessly adapted to life at Manchester City and has found the environment in the dressing room to be supportive and encouraging.

With his positive impact on the team, he is likely to play a crucial role in the coming weeks and months as Manchester City continues to compete for trophies.
