Guardiola suggests he would love to work with ‘exceptional’ Man United player
Pep Guardiola has suggested that Bruno Fernandes is the ideal player he would love to have in his team.
Ahead of the Manchester derby, the Spaniard praised Bruno as an exceptional player that he admires a lot.
“He’s an exceptional player. Especially the consistency to play every single game in every single competition, I admire a lot that,” he said.
“And he’s a guy that when he has the ball, something is going to happen; in free-kicks, on set-pieces, and connections with the players up-front, with (Alejandro) Garnacho, (Marcus) Rashford, all the strikers they have there.
“So, what can I say? He’s a really, really important player.”
Fernandes would have to prove his quality in the derby on Sunday. United’s last victory at the Etihad was in March 2021.
