Erling Haaland leaves door open for Real Madrid move despite claiming he’s “happy” at Man City
Erling Haaland has spoken about his Manchester City future amid reports linking him to Real Madrid.
Since securing a move to City in 2022, Haaland has entrenched his reputation among the best strikers in the world.
Last term, the Norwegian claimed a club record 52 goals, including 36 in the Premier League as City went on to win the Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup treble.
Naturally such performances have attracted the attention of Real Madrid and Barcelona, with the former having been interested in signing Haaland before his City move.

Haaland continues to be linked with the Spanish giants, despite having more than three years remaining on his current contract at City.
Reports earlier this season claimed the Premier League champions were confident of securing hm to a new long-term deal, with The Mirror adding he could earn as much as £600,000 per week on an improved deal.
While Haaland has spoken positively about his time at City, recent comments suggests a new deal isn’t as far along as previously suggested.
Speaking on his City future, Haaland said: “I’m really happy, especially with the people I’m surrounded by. The manager, the directors, the board, I am really happy I have to say.

“I say this now, it will probably be a massive headline, tomorrow you never know what the future brings but I am happy. You can write this but you also have to write everything I said before. I am happy.”
However, n the prospect of signing a new contract at City, Haaland was more coy.
He said: “Yeah, my focus is mainly now on the pitch, there’s a lot of games, two days ago a derby, now CL, Sunday is Liverpool so I think I should focus on that.”
