Bukayo Saka makes claim about Man City and the Etihad immediately after Arsenal’s win in the Champions League
Bukayo Saka was quizzed about whether he thinks Arsenal can beat Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium at the end of the month.
City host Arteta and Co. in a clash that could have a bearing on both sides’ Premier League title hopes this season.
The much-awaited affair is perhaps more crucial for Pep Guardiola’s men, as a defeat to the Gunners would mean the gap between both sides could extend to four points.
The same could be the gap in terms of points with Liverpool if they beat Brighton & Hove Albion in their next league outing.

As a result, all eyes will be on the clash to see whether City’s experience could mean they dominate the North London side once again like they did last season or whether the visitors could clinch their first win at the stadium since 2015.
After Arsenal beat Porto on penalties to qualify for the Champions League quarter-final, Bukayo Saka was asked if his boyhood club could defeat Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

“We can, we can”, the Arsenal poster-boy said during his post-match interview with TNT Sports.
Saka continued, “And obviously, right now, we’re top of the league, we’re into the quarter-finals of the Champions League and we’re going to the international break so that gives us a lot of momentum and belief that we can go to the Etihad and get a good result.”
Manchester City should treat the contest like a final
While Bukayo Saka is justifiably backing his Arsenal side, Manchester City would also be confident, considering the game will be played at the Etihad Stadium, where they are yet to lose since December 2022.
In our view, City should treat the contest like a final.
The treble-winners often win these do-or-die fixtures in title races and a reason why that might be the case is due to heading into such clashes with such a mentality.
Considering both teams have quality in abundance, where Manchester City could have the edge over Arsenal is how they treat the game as that added desire could help them gain an edge over their opponents.
