Man City ‘should be relegated’ after new points deduction twist – rival fans are amazed
Man City have been savaged by rivals fans across the Premier League after Nottingham Forest were hit with a points deduction on Monday (18 March).
Forest became the second side this season to face a sanction for a breach of the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules after Everton faced a 10-point deduction in November.
The Reds, now in the relegation zone, have been hit with a four-point deduction after an independent commission found their losses in the 2022-23 season breached the threshold of £61million by £34.5million.
However, fans of all clubs are furious that City, who were charged with 115 breaches in February 2023, are yet to face a punishment.

Accusations against the Citizens include not cooperating with the league’s investigation, not abiding by PSR rules and giving inaccurate information about their finances.
City have adamantly denied any wrongdoing and have employed top lawyers to fight their case, while Everton, whose 10-point deduction was reduced to six, and Forest admitted guilt.
Many are angry that the Toffees and Forest have been hit with punishments very quickly but a verdict on City’s charges is yet to be seen.
Fans have taken to social media to show their outrage, and many feel that the Premier League are favouring the top clubs.
