Man City ace Foden: Doku can be frightening

Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden has highlighted Jermy Doku’s growing impact.

Foden struck a hat-trick in victory over Aston Villa, with Doku impressive on the flank.

Very good,” said Foden to City’s website.

I thought he was frightening he’s so dangerous one v one and helped us massively today to beat the full-back.

He’s a fantastic talent and he’s only going to keep on getting better working under Pep as well.

I’m delighted for him today he performed really well.”

Watch: What Jurgen Klopp told Alexis Mac Allister’s father after Sheffield United win

Jurgen Klopp’s command of Spanish only took him so far in his conversation with Alexis Mac Allister’s father. The former Borussia Dortmund boss shared his interaction with Carlos Mac Allister after the Merseysiders defeated relegation-battlers Sheffield United at Anfield. “I met his dad after the game. He said, ‘Thank you’. I said, ‘Gracias’,” the German recalled in his post-match press conference. “That was the full conversation. ‘Hola’ I said as well and then my Spanish ends.” The World Cup-winning midfielder played a pivotal role in the Reds’ 3-1 victory, scoring an absolute scorcher after the hour mark to pull his side back in control of the tie. NFL Analyst Reveals Rumor Of Cowboys, Dak Prescott Trade

The Dallas Cowboys’ plans remain a mystery to many observers. With Jerry Jones firmly at the helm, his authoritative control over the team is undeniable. One decision that has raised eyebrows is the absence of a contract extension for quarterback Dak Prescott. As Prescott heads into the next season with an expiring contract, speculation mounts regarding his future. Recent murmurs suggest that another team, particularly one in need of a quarterback, could be eyeing Prescott. NFL analyst Craig Carton touched upon this possibility on The Carton Show, cautioning that while he couldn’t verify the rumor, its mere existence hints at potential developments in Dallas. The rumor suggests that the Las Vegas Raiders could be eyeing a trade for Dak Prescott this offseason. Given Jones’ penchant for public engagement, he could easily dispel such rumors if he desired. Yet, as a savvy businessman, he might also view this as an opportunity to assess Prescott’s trade value discreetly. Enter the Las Vegas Raiders, purportedly interested in acquiring Prescott. This potential trade could be a more feasible option for the Raiders than attempting to move up in the NFL Draft. Additionally, Prescott’s skill set could significantly bolster the Raiders’ roster. Should the Dallas Cowboys harbor any doubts about Dak Prescott’s long-term fit, seizing this moment to explore alternative options could prove prudent.

NFL scout doesn’t hold back while praising 49ers QB Brock Purdy’s potential

NFL scout doesn’t hold back while praising 49ers QB Brock Purdy’s potential

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy has become one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL over the past two years. He has become a household name and led the 49ers to the Super Bowl last year. Unfortunately, he was unable to knock off Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in the big game. Despite the loss in the Super Bowl last season, Purdy is scheduled to take yet another step in his development in 2024. Throughout his first 25 NFL games, Purdy has completed 68.7 percent of his pass attempts for 5,654 yards, 44 touchdowns, and just 15 interceptions. His numbers show just a glimpse at what the future could hold. One NFL scout spoke to NFL Analysis Network about Purdy and what the future may hold for him. “I can’t say enough that Brock Purdy has so much more potential left to unlock. He’s already a superstar, but he’s nowhere close to his ceiling. If he ends up reaching his ceiling, Hall of Fame is the least of the accolades that he has the talent and ability to achieve.” Those are glowing words that certainly spark even bigger thoughts. Fans have talked about the similarities between Purdy and Tom Brady. It’s too early to put him on that level of course, but it’s certainly there. At just 24 years of age, Brock Purdy is playing with a football IQ well beyond his years. He’s a top-notch leader as well and his teammates love playing for him. That is a quality that is impossible to teach. Looking at the future, the San Francisco 49ers are set up to be a favorite once again in 2024 in the NFC. The team will need to figure out the contract situation with star wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, but Purdy will be fine regardless of that outcome. He’s the kind of quarterback that can make any wide receiver he plays with better. Do you think the Hall of Fame or even bigger things are in store for Purdy in the future? Only time will tell, but for now, it appears that we’re watching the beginning of greatness.

Knicks lose All-Star for rest of season and playoffs

The Knicks were hoping they’d get Julius Randle back for the playoffs. That hope ended Thursday. Randle dislocated his shoulder on Jan. 27 and after months of trying to resolve the issue with rehabilitation, the team ruled that his shoulder was too unstable to return to the court. He’ll have surgery and should be ready for the start of next season. It’s a disappointing result for both the three-time All-Star and his team. After trading for OG Anunoby, the Knicks went 12-2 with their new frontcourt duo, featuring the NBA’s No. 1 defense in that stretch. Since Randle suffered the shoulder injury, Anunoby has also missed all but three games. New York has remained near the top of the Eastern Conference standings, but missing Randle likely means the end of its chances of being a title contender, something that seemed like a real possibility back in January. They’re very likely to re-sign Anunoby in the summer and run it back with this year’s surprising team, but it’s not how Knicks fans imagined their best season in a decade would end. They could still be a dangerous playoff team, thanks to the emergence of their Villanova-based core of Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart and Donte DiVincenzo. DiVincenzo has been a revelation after joining the starting lineup, setting team records for three-pointers. Hart seemingly never gets tired while logging huge minutes and has become a rebounding, triple-double force with Randle out. Brunson put up 61 points last week and might be a top-five MVP candidate. But in a symbol of the Knicks’ injury-plagued season, they fell short in his 61-point effort. It will be a tough playoff run without Randle. It’ll be even tougher if Anunoby can’t come back, either.
