Man Utd sent Jadon Sancho plea as Erik ten Hag faces ultimate test of authority
Man Utd have been told to make a Jadon Sancho decision that could leave Erik ten Hag in an awkward position.

Manchester United legend Andy Cole has urged the club to try to make Jadon Sancho a success next season rather than sell him for a significant loss. Erik ten Hag could face a huge test of his authority this summer once Sancho returns from his loan spell at Borussia Dortmund, with a new-look group of decision-makers now at the helm.
The 24-year-old winger likely has no future at United if Ten Hag remains in charge after the nature of their public row earlier this season.

But the Dutchman faces an uncertain fate this summer amid the risk of Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS desiring a clean slate as part of their ruthless hierarchy shake-up.
Richard Arnold has been replaced as chief executive by Omar Berrada, and Dan Ashworth is set to arrive as sporting director after John Murtough’s exit was confirmed on Tuesday.

A new-look unit leading football operations could allow Sancho a pathway back into the frame at Old Trafford if there is a belief that he can improve on what he’s shown since his £73million arrival in 2021.

And Cole has urged United to give him another chance regardless of Ten Hag’s future because they aren’t in a position to accept losing more than half of what they paid Dortmund just three years ago.

“Nothing’s impossible. Back in the days of Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United, when he had an issue with a player, or vice-versa, that would remain in the dressing room,” Cole told Betfred.
“Now, I’m aware that the relationship between Jadon and Erik ten Hag has been talked about a lot in the media, but you’re always going to need your best players and if Jadon’s perceived to be one of the club’s best players, then you’ve got to try and get the best out of him.
“I read that Manchester United could potentially sell him for around £30 million, but I don’t believe the club are in a position to take such a loss on h
So, for me personally, the club needs to try and get the best out of the players they have.
“If Sancho comes back and he and Erik ten Hag can sort out whatever their grievances are, then the club needs to try and get the best out of Jadon.”
Sancho has registered two goals and two assists in 12 appearances for Dortmund since returning after a four-month banishment at United.
Given how his Red Devils career turned sour this term, the former England international could push for a permanent exit himself if attractive offers emerge.
