After an impressive official visit, Lauren Hurst has officially shut down her recruitment and committed to the Tennessee Lady Vols basketball program. The 6-foot-10 standout had previously been considering other programs but ultimately decided that Tennessee was the perfect fit for her future.

Hurst, a dominant presence on the court, brings elite size, skill, and versatility to the Lady Vols. Her decision to flip her commitment and lock in with Tennessee is a major win for head coach Kellie Harper and her staff. The coaching team, particularly assistant coach Caldwell, played a significant role in securing her commitment, emphasizing Tennessee’s strong development program and championship aspirations.

“The visit was amazing, and I truly believe in what Coach Harper and her staff are building at Tennessee,” Hurst said. “I felt at home in Knoxville, and I know this is the best place for me to grow as a player and a person.”

Hurst’s presence in the paint will be a game-changer for the Lady Vols. With her elite shot-blocking ability, rebounding dominance, and improving offensive game, she is expected to make an immediate impact. Her size and mobility give Tennessee a unique advantage in the SEC, making them even more of a powerhouse in women’s college basketball.

Tennessee fans are thrilled to welcome Hurst to Rocky Top, where she will join a long legacy of dominant post players. With her commitment, the Lady Vols continue to build a roster capable of competing for SEC and national titles.

Hurst’s commitment solidifies Tennessee’s reputation as a top destination for elite talent, and fans can’t wait to see her suit up in orange

and white.
