Alabama’s head coach, Kalen DeBoer, and the Crimson Tide have achieved a significant recruiting victory by securing a commitment from five-star running back Ezavier Crowell.

Hailing from Jackson High School in Alabama, Crowell is recognized as the nation’s No. 1 running back in the 2027 class. He has been a top priority for Alabama’s 2026 recruiting efforts, especially after reclassifying from the 2027 to the 2026 class in January 2025.

Crowell’s relationship with Alabama has been strengthened through multiple visits to Tuscaloosa. He attended the Crimson Tide’s season opener against Western Kentucky, where he expressed his admiration for the program, stating, “Bama visit was great… They sit at the top of my list.” Further solidifying his connection, Crowell scheduled an official visit for June 20, 2025, underscoring his serious interest in joining the team.

Crowell’s on-field performance has been nothing short of exceptional. During his sophomore season, he led Jackson High to a state championship, showcasing his dynamic playing style. Standing at 5-foot-11 and weighing 215 pounds, Crowell combines physicality with impressive speed, evidenced by his 10.6-second 100-meter dash time.

This commitment marks a pivotal moment for Coach DeBoer and the Alabama program, emphasizing their dedication to securing top in-state talent. Crowell’s addition is expected to bolster the Crimson Tide’s offensive lineup significantly, as they continue to build a formidable team for the future.
