Jackson, who has been a versatile offensive lineman in the league, is reportedly being traded from the Los Angeles Rams to the Chicago Bears. This move comes just days before the official start of free agency on March 12, 2025.

 

Jonah Jackson began his NFL career with the Detroit Lions after being selected in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Known for his adaptability, Jackson played both guard positions and, more recently, transitioned to center. In Week 1 of the 2024 season, he was named the Rams’ starting center, marking his first professional snaps at that position. Unfortunately, his season was disrupted by a scapula fracture in Week 2, leading to his placement on injured reserve on September 18, 2024. He was reactivated on November 11, 2024.

 

On March 4, 2025, ESPN’s Courtney Cronin reported that Jackson would be traded to the Chicago Bears. As of that date, there has been no official confirmation from the involved teams; agreed-upon trades cannot be finalized until the beginning of the next league year on March 12. The Rams had given Jackson permission to seek a trade in late February.
