Worthy, currently a standout wide receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL, made the announcement earlier today, expressing his deep appreciation for the opportunities and support he received during his collegiate career.

 

During his tenure at the University of Texas from 2021 to 2023, Worthy established himself as a formidable talent on the field. He earned First-Team All-Big 12 honors twice, in 2021 and 2023, and set multiple freshman records, including most receiving yards (981) and touchdowns (12) in a season. His remarkable performance against Oklahoma, where he amassed 261 receiving yards, remains one of the highlights of his college career. Over three seasons, Worthy recorded 197 receptions for 2,755 yards and 26 touchdowns, ranking him among the top receivers in Longhorns history.

 

Worthy’s exceptional speed garnered national attention when he set an NFL Combine record with a 4.21-second 40-yard dash in 2024. This outstanding display of athleticism led to his selection by the Kansas City Chiefs as the 28th overall pick in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. In his rookie season with the Chiefs, Worthy continued to impress, culminating in a career-best performance during Super Bowl LIX, where he recorded 157 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
