Breaking: Auburn Tigers men’s basketball has secured a significant commitment from Labaron Philon, the top-ranked men’s basketball prospect in Alabama.
Philon chose Auburn over other finalists, including Alabama, Tennessee, Arkansas, Ole Miss, and Kansas.
Philon, a standout junior guard, is recognized for his scoring ability, court vision, and leadership on the court. His commitment marks the second top-30 recruit Auburn has landed in a short span, following the addition of Tahaad Pettiford earlier that week.
Head coach Bruce Pearl’s consistent recruitment efforts played a pivotal role in Philon’s decision. Philon noted that Auburn was always a top choice for him, citing Pearl’s unwavering commitment throughout the recruitment process.
