
Breaking news: Five-star guard Olivia Hamlin has committed to the Texas Longhorns women’s basketball team for the 2026 recruiting class.
Hamlin, a standout 5-foot-9 guard from St. George, Utah, is currently ranked as the No. 2 player in Utah and the No. 59 player nationally by Prospects Nation. She has already committed to the University of Nebraska for the 2025-26 season.
The Texas Longhorns have been active in securing top talent for their women’s basketball program. In the 2024 recruiting class, they signed three highly regarded players:
Justice Carlton: A 6-foot-1 forward from Katy, Texas, ranked No. 7 nationally. Carlton averaged 25 points and 10 rebounds per game during the 2022-23 season and holds multiple school records at Seven Lakes High School.
Jordan Lee: A 6-foot guard from Stockton, California, ranked No. 8 nationally. Lee averaged 20.1 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game in the 2022-23 season and earned First Team All-State honors.
Bryanna Preston: A 5-foot-9 guard from Jonesboro, Georgia, ranked No. 43 nationally. Preston averaged 18.7 points, 6.7 assists, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.2 steals per game in the 2022-23 season and led her high school team to a state championship in the 2021-22 season.
These signings have bolstered the Longhorns’ roster, positioning them as a competitive force in upcoming seasons. However, there is no current information regarding Olivia Hamlin’s commitment
to Texas.
