BREAKING NEWS: Kianni Westbrook, a 6-foot-3 forward, has committed to the LSU Tigers basketball program. Recent information indicates that Westbrook has officially committed to the Michigan State Spartans, choosing them over offers from Alabama, Auburn, and the Florida Gators. 
In other recruiting news, LSU has bolstered its roster with notable commitments. In November 2024, head coach Matt McMahon secured three elite recruits for the 2025 class: Mazi Mosley, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard from Montverde Academy; Matt Gilhool, a 6-foot-10 center from William Penn Charter School; and Jalen Reece, a 6-foot point guard from Oak Ridge High. These signings have elevated LSU’s 2025 recruiting class to a top-six national ranking.
Additionally, in November 2024, ZaKiyah Johnson, a five-star recruit and three-time Kentucky Gatorade Player of the Year from Sacred Heart, committed to LSU over Louisville and Kentucky. Johnson cited the program’s culture and her alignment with the team’s dynamic as key factors in her decision.
