Breaking: Ohio State has secured a significant addition to its 2025 recruiting class with the commitment of four-star tight end Nate Roberts from Washington High School in Oklahoma.

Roberts, standing 6-foot-4 and weighing 235 pounds, is ranked as the No. 118 overall prospect and the No. 5 tight end in his class, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.

Roberts’ commitment comes after a notable high school career, where he recorded 38 receptions for 816 yards and eight touchdowns in his junior season, contributing to his team’s undefeated record and state championship victory. He is recognized for his dual-threat capability as both a pass-catcher and blocker, aligning with Ohio State’s offensive strategy that utilizes tight ends in versatile roles.

Initially, Roberts had committed to Notre Dame but reopened his recruitment in August. He ultimately chose Ohio State over other prominent programs, including Oklahoma and Oregon. Roberts cited his strong connection with Ohio State’s tight ends coach, Keenan Bailey, and head coach Ryan Day’s vision for his role in the offense as pivotal factors in his decision.

With Roberts’ commitment, Ohio State’s 2025 recruiting class now includes 12 prospects, featuring top talents such as cornerbacks Devin Sanchez and Na’eem Offord, and quarterback Tavien St. Clair. Roberts’ addition bolsters the Buckeyes’ offensive lineup, promising a dynamic presence in their future campaigns.
