Five-star safety K.J. Bolden, ranked as the No. 1 safety and the No. 7 overall prospect in the 2024 class.

Bolden chose the Seminoles over other top programs, including Ohio State, Auburn, and Georgia.

Hailing from Buford High School in Georgia, the 6-foot-1, 190-pound athlete is celebrated for his exceptional speed, ball skills, and versatility. His athletic prowess is further highlighted by his achievements in track and field, having qualified for state competitions in the 100-meter dash and earning a bronze medal in the triple jump.

Bolden’s decision to join FSU was influenced by the program’s rich history of producing elite defensive backs, such as Deion Sanders, Derwin James, and Jalen Ramsey. He expressed a desire to contribute to the resurgence of his “dream school,” stating, “Why not bring your dream school back to the top?”

This commitment marks a pivotal moment for head coach Mike Norvell and the Seminoles, reinforcing their position as a formidable force in college football recruiting. With Bolden’s addition, FSU’s 2024 recruiting class ascends to a top-five national ranking, trailing only Georgia, Ohio State, and Florida.

Bolden’s versatility extends beyond defense; his athleticism and playmaking abilities suggest potential contributions on offense as well. However, his primary impact is anticipated in the secondary, where his range and instincts are expected to bolster FSU’s defense.

As the Seminoles continue to build momentum, Bolden’s commitment not only enhances their roster but also signals a renewed era of excellence for Florida State football.
