Good news: Ohio State has received promising news in its pursuit of elite defensive back recruit Faheem Delane.
With senior safety Lathan Ransom declaring for the NFL Draft, the Buckeyes are keen to bolster their secondary. Delane, a highly-touted freshman, is among the top prospects Ohio State is targeting, alongside major SEC programs. Securing Delane would provide continuity in the defensive backfield, especially following the transfer of standout safety Caleb Downs from Alabama. Downs, who earned unanimous All-American honors in 2024, is projected as a top-10 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Adding Delane to the roster would further solidify Ohio State’s defensive strength in the coming seasons.
