KNOXVILLE: Mia and Mya Pauldo, the dynamic identical twins and elite basketball prospects from Morris Catholic High School in Denville, New Jersey, have made their highly anticipated college decision—and it’s a massive win for the Tennessee Lady Vols.
The five-star guards rejected strong offers from Ole Miss and even bypassed an opportunity to go pro with the WNBA’s Atlanta Dream, choosing instead to continue their basketball journey under head coach Kellie Harper in Knoxville.
The Pauldo twins have dominated the high school circuit, known for their elite ball-handling, explosive speed, and natural chemistry on the court. Mia, the slightly more offensive-minded of the two, averages 22 points and 6 assists per game, while Mya, a defensive anchor, chips in 18 points and leads her team in steals and rebounds. Together, they’ve led Morris Catholic to back-to-back state championships, and they’re not done yet.
In a joint statement, the twins said: “We’ve dreamed of playing in front of a passionate fan base, wearing orange, and continuing the legacy of great women who played for Pat Summitt. The Lady Vols just felt like home.”
The decision marks a significant recruiting victory for Tennessee, as the twins were considered top targets for multiple SEC programs. Ole Miss had courted them heavily, offering NIL incentives and immediate starting roles. Meanwhile, the Atlanta Dream had reportedly offered them a pathway into the WNBA via a developmental contract.
Choosing Tennessee reinforces the Pauldo sisters’ commitment to legacy, tradition, and growth. With the 2025 class already ranked among the nation’s best, the Lady Vols now position themselves as a Final Four contender for years to come.
The future in Knoxville just got a lot brighter—and a whole lot faster—with Mia and Mya Pauldo
on board.
